Songwriters
and Musicians We're not quite ready for a beta release, but we've essentially figured out how to effeciently and expeditiously let you write and edit musical notation in an online environment and, perhaps more importantly, how to post your scores and compositions to the Internet in standard HTML format requiring no plug-ins nor even script-enabling to view. We're talking about sheet music that is viewable in ANY web browser going back to the 1.0 versions of IE, Netscape and even Mosaic. It seems to work fine in Firefox too, though we've got a few Opera bugs to iron out. Furthermore, it requires no software downloads whatsoever, though folks with older browsers may need to download and install a couple of specialty fonts. Print it, perform it, post it on your blog, send it in a plain text email! Obviously it's not ready for beta yet, but bookmark us and check back after giving us a few months to polish upour act and get our patent applications in order. Meanwhile, we'll be posting notes on musical history, along with some of the finer relics that have been accumulating in our collection of musical antiquities, all at www.symphonicnote.com. If you're into the jazz scene, then maybe you'll want to refill your glass of cabernet (or Nestea...) and join the discussion at www.jazznotation.com.
Feeling funky? You can check us out at SheetMuZe.com too! |
